Résumé

Opening with an introduction of the Konda Reddis, and showing the strength of their life in the hills, the film moves on to their encounter with development, the state and its policy for them. With the state policy unable to think beyond resettlement of the people to the plains, the film presents the reflexive responses, of the Konda Reddis from both the hill villages and the plain colonies, to the crucial question of whether life in the hills or the resettlement colony in the plains is better.
